COMMON INTEGRATED POLICE APPLICATION (CIPA)

                

The CIPA project is a Govt. of India project for computerization of police stations' activities. In first phase six districts of UP viz. Lucknow, Barabanki, Unnao, Sitapur, Sultanpur & Raebareli are taken by Ministry  of Home Affairs, Govt of India for the implementation of CIPA project.  The software is designed by NIC which is co-ordinating its implementation.  The required hardware and technical human resources are also being provided by NIC. On 19th Oct. 2007, the Suptt.of Police, Sultanpur inaugurated CIPA software at Kotwali Nagar Police Station and officially started the project in five more police stations which are  Musafirkhana, Kadipur, Jagdishpur, Kamroli and Haliapur.

However, presently it has been implemented in almost all the thanas of the district and the registration of FIRs etc. is being done through computers.
